Please help Dash light

Hi

I have a 2001 and some time driving nights the dashboard indicator light is suddenly darker for 3 seconds without any apparent reason and then back to normal intensity. I noticed that the intensity didn’t changed regarding the radio and AC control panel.

I turned the button managing the dashboard light intensity but it managed all the lights including the radio and AC. The deduction is that the button is not guilty.

Has any one of you the same problem?

Please help me I’m almost out of warranty.

Hi there,
I would suggest that your ambient light sensor for your interior lights is either not working, or the signal is not being read correctly by the BCM.
Either way, correct diagnosis is key.
The BCM is a high euro part, but the ambient light sensor is not.
