I went out and bought a Professional Products polished intake today to replace my old gray Torker. I dont know how these intakes compare to a Edelbrock but they look just as good.

Salemen said he thinks Perf Prod is owned by Edelbrock because they are copies of the Edelbrock line and no one is being sued. Makes sense to me.

I'll see how it works out.

What exactly are you referring to by the "intake"? Not the heads, right? Some sort of manifold that allows the fuel/air to go into the heads from the carb to service the cylinders when the valve opens?

Thanks! :D

You are on the mark. The intake sits between the heads and the carb mounts to it. It is the connection between the carb and heads to supply the air and fuel to the heads.

I came accross their web site the other day and the intakes looked identical to Edelbrocks. How does the price compare ???

J.

Well first I made a mistake it is a Professional Products manifold and not Performance Products as first stated,, I fixed the post.

The price is less then Edelbrock. Depending on the model it can vary quite a bit. I went with the Cyclone which is the clone of the performer, and fits under the standard hood.
