I have been replacing the water pump and timing chain on my early (cast iron heads) 86 coupe. While at it I decided to go ahead and replace the heater hose and thermostat. When taking off the thermostat housing I found attached under the back bolt a small device with two wires and two plastic vaccum lines going to it. The reason I am concerned is on the back side there are two ports one appears to have had a foam filter over it and the other is just an opening. I want to be sure I haven't pulled something loose that I can't see. BTW the wires and hose connect to the same side.
