poly bushings

So my rear strut rod busings look to be all dried up & worn. I'd like to replace them...Looking at the judging guide, it says "Service replacement strut rod busings are different design than original equipment. When installed this difference is not visible, and results in no judging penalty." So my question is, could I go with the poly bushings & get away with it? Any drawbacks to using poly?

I don't think anyone would pick it up in judging, and this is one of the very few applications where I prefer poly; they allow accurate camber adjustment which then remains stable, and don't affect transmitted noise or harshness. The only other application where I prefer them is for the front stabilizer bar end link bolt bushings (makes the bar more efficient, no transmitted noise or harshness with rubber frame bracket bushings).
