I was attempting to correct a really bad squeak in my rear brakes over the weekend.
Thought I could do a quick cut on the rotors and new pads.
After spending several hours tearing into the system I discovered that the rotors couldn’t even be turned.
Hope I get the numbers right…
New the front and rear are at .78 and minimum is at .724.
This doesn’t give you much room for anything.
OEM rotor’s on a 73 run about $60 - $70
Just thought I would share the experience...
The lesson I learned is that I should have ordered the rotors before hand just incase I needed them.
Thanks to GM the aftermaket parts houses are making a fortune.
