My 90 6 speed manual is creating a fluctuating metalic rubbing or grinding sound that seems to be coming from the rear driver side. Louder while excelerating and diminshes almost to nothing when dropping into neutral while travelling slow or fast. Brakes look just fine so its not the pads or rotors. What to do?

Louder while under load, would indicate a bearing about to go bad I think.

Bearing-Differential or Wheel?

Ken,
Thanks for the reply. Are we still looking at the differential or wheel bearing?

Dennis
