Power Antenna Removal On 65

What Do I Need To Do To Remove My Power Antenna For Repairs? Does The Gastank Need To Be Dropped? What's The Trick?

I assume you have under-car exhaust, otherwise the access would be quite clear to you (I have sidepipes, a dream come true when it comes to removing/installing the antenna). Even with undercar exhaust, dropping the tank is not required to remove the power antenna, but dropping the d-side muffler unit might help
 
I agree with ct jackster. You're going to want to get the driver side muffler out of the way. That done, access to the antenna mount, etc. is good.
