Is there any info on converting to a power steering box (like a saginaw 605) instead of the power cylinder?

Thanks

What year car ? I know on the c1 there are some pretty cool entire front suspention kits available .

What type of a restoration are you doing on the car there are some excellent powersterring kits available to make it as original.I mean this is an entire bolt on kit why do you want to reinvent the wheel here.Buy the kit and make it a week end project

I put PS on my 64 - no problem. The only parts change, assuming you got the valve, relay rod, ends, pump, brackets etc is you must change the pitman arm, which has an S bend, versus a straight out design from the gear. The shock absorber frame bracket must also be changed. Also, you must use the outer hole for the tie rod on the spindle lever in case your manual was set up with the quiick steering option.

You must also get the appropriate pulley for the balancer - easy find. Very little clearance between pulley and frame, and the brackets are a real pain to secure and adjust. I was lucky - did mine before placing the body back on. Careful with the PS pulley, as it could be bent easily, and it is unique to vettes.

Best of luck.
