LT4 Problems Solved???

This is a follow up to the 2 previous posts I made. Please see Strange Noise post in the C4 Tech and Performance section on 12-10-09 @ 3:35pm and the SYS Flashing in the LT4 Forum on 3-24-10 @ 10:53am.
Today I changed the battery. No easy task but all went well. I took the car out for a ride and noticed that the SYS is no longer flashing. Also the whistling noise has somehow stopped. My question is could changing the battery have somehow corrected these problems? As far as the SYS not flashing I will consider the new battery to be the answer, but what about the whistling noise which I believe to be the evap. canister or hoses leading to it. Why would the whistling noise have suddenly stopped? Also I found some instructions for changing the battery on google. I did a search for: How to change a battery in a C4 Corvette and found instructions from Corvette Magazine. It's a little more work but I found it to be very helpful.

The SYS flashing light was telling you there was a problem with the charging system. When you replaced the battery, the problem was fixed, so no more light flashing.

I could not find your post about the whistling noise. :W
