Well guys about all I got done this weekend was getting the radiator and A/C condenser mounted and got the A/C evaporator mounted. I had to make block-off plates for the fresh air hose hole as well as the hole for the air cleaner inlet for the old FI unit. mounted grommets in the fresh air plate to accept the A/C hoses. Painted all the mounting brackets, plates, and braces to match the body.
Mounted the A/C evaporator, and checked for fit. I had some friends stop by and they ragged on me for spending the time on polishing out the radiator, but I just couldn't help myself! It sure looks better now.

John, It looks great. What kind of cooling fan(s) will you use?

I amusing a single 16" high output Spal fan. I expected it to show up by this weekend, but it didn't make it.

Looks great John.

Looks great John how much work was it to pull that shine out of the radiator?

Larry,

It only took about 3 hours to sand and buff that puppy up. I know that it is a sickness, but I just can't help myself! I don't know whay I just cant seem to use any part like it comes out of the box!

Thanks for the pics, as always, John. I bought this same radiator. It looks great, but I had to cut up my fan shroud to make it fit (I hope will fit when I put everything together, that is). Now I kind of wish I had bought the Dewitts, which I understand is a true "custom fit", instead of hacking on the shroud. But if you're going with the electric fan and no shroud, then you should have no problems. I was just kind of scared of overheating with the electric fan and my 383 stroker engine.

I would agree with you on the Dewitts radiator when using the stock shroud. Tom's radiator can even be mistaken for an original if painted black! All else being equal, I would rather use his radiator than any other one. The LS1 engine however has some unique requirements when it comes to the inlet and outlet sizes, and my friend that builds these hybrids for a living had the radiator on the shelf, so I went that route. I am sure that Tom could have made me a custom one with the right size water nipples, but this was the path of least resistance.
