i'm putting torq thrust D's in chrome on my 65 and would like to get the proper tire size to match what it came with in 65, so my speedo is accurate and it sits the same...anyone know what size to get or what the correct diameter tire would have been in 65?..i'm using 205/75's on 67 rally wheels now...also, has anyone ever had a problem with the torq thrusts in a 15x7 with 3 3/4 inch backspacing coming too close to the rear fenders?...thanks for any help

anyone know what i'm talking about? i think i found the info i needed, the originals should be 24.72" diameter if i'm correct...if anyone wants to know a place to order torq thrust wheels online at a great price, contact me...later

I am pretty shy about going to a 7" wheel with a C2. I like 6". But others have done so successfully with a low aspect ratio than 70 or 75. It does not appeal to me.

The original tires were 27" diameter, not 24.72". I wouldn't take the chance with 7" rims - fiberglass and paint work is expen$ive.

my bad, the diameter is 27.42, must be dyslexia...i did a trial fit with the 15x7 wheels and 215/70/15 tires and it was very tight in the rear, no problem in the front....i had a new rear leaf spring, but hadn't put it on before, so i installed it this evening and it raised the rear end quite a bit...i should be safe now..thanks for the help
