Bob, it was great to meet you (finally) and your buds too - it's nice to be able to put a face with a name; did anyone buy the blower setup?

:beer

John, you will understand why I must admit that the pleasure was all mine. The wealth of knowledge you exhibit on these Forums, is nothing compared to having the pleasure of sitting down and sharing your vast experiences. My buddies were especially broken up with your stories of how you use to rebuild these types of blowers, in the motel bathtub on Saturday night before the Sunday races.

Sadly the blower did not sell. There were a lot of interested parties, but no money exchanged hands, so I had to haul it back home. I will be attending the NSRA show in Burlington VT on September the 25th, so I might just end up in the swap meet area, with the blower sitting at the rear of my van.

Once again I have been enriched by the pleasure of your company so I will be looking forward to the next time we can share YOUR many experiences. Thank's again for hauling all my crap down to the show for me.

Keep well, and drive safe my friend

regards
Stepinwolf

Any word if they were going to make the upgrades that you mentioned you did?

All the parts that were needed for my performance upgrade, are now available directly from Vette Brakes & Products. They also happen to be one of our prominent sponsors, so for all your needs, you can visit them at the following address.

Tom,

Any chance you can scan the page and e-mail ( robert.pelland@cgocable.ca ) it to me. We don't get that Trader around here, they force us to purchase the Canadian version.

Stepinwolf

Right on Bob :D

Canadian boy does good!

Hello Robert
Congrats on the ad coverage. I would like to get a copy of that magazine/catalog.
Tom

Robert,

now I don't know if it is the same car I don't see the headrests, but it is on the way.

The car that is pictured is a Corvette that is owned by Bill H. Larkin, and he was the " Photo Contest Winner " in VBP's catalogue in 2002. They have carried the photo over in their various catalogues since then. As I previously mentioned, it look's as though it is a 66 big-block, with the old vintage ( a la Crager ) type mags. These photos was taken before VBP started selling the R+P conversions, or the hydraulic brake assist systems. A close up of this Corvette can be seen in last years " V04 " catalogue on page 3

Thanks again for your trouble

Very Cool!

Congrats on the mag spread. You have one beautiful car.

I have not as yet responded to all the gracious comments everyone has posted on the coverage my car received. However I must admit I am more then a little pleased with all the positive responses, and the encouraging words.

My grand-pa would have said it another way to describe his feelings, and it would have gone more along the following lines.

" I'm as happy as a pig in shît " unquote. ;LOL

That is indeed a great honour and a tribute to your craftsmanship!

Sorry I missed you and other CAC people at Carlisle but a move to a new/old house and home restoration work got in the way as well as about 100 packing boxes. The Corvette had a low priority recently (is that possible?) but I managed to get out early this morning to keep the juices flowing (mine and the car's).

No excuses for next year

As I previously mentioned, I am sorry to see that personal commitments prevented you from attending this years show. However there is always next year, and there are more then a few people whom I expect to see at the show, including Steve, Fuelie, and yourself.

During this years show, I had the good fortune of being able to enjoy a few evenings with fellow Forum members, and I plan to do the same next year.

Someone on the Forum should look into the possibility of trying to locate a large banquet hall, and plan an evening that would reunite, most if not all the Forum members attending the show. This would permit all of us to finally meet, introduce ourselves, put a face to our names, and share our Corvette experiences. I am quite sure there could be something done to get everyone together for a :grouphug: MONSTER CAC get together :D and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if members of other Corvette Forums, would show an interest in joining us for the evening.

We need volunteers for a commity here !, preferably on the US side of the border.

That would work
