My old 84 blew the lower radiator hose and badly overheated last year, cracked the block and both heads. I finally saved up the cash and bought a remanufactured crate engine long block(all new parts)

I can not afford to pay a shop to pull the old engine and install the new one. My son-in-law and I will do the work in his garage. Between us we have all the necessary tools, equipment and a couple of repair manuals. He is a MOPAR man with a lot of mechanical experence but none on Corvetts. I am really excited to get started and to be able drive my Vet again, but I'm a little worried that I'll srew something up, and I can not afford to do that.

I would appreciate any advice, suggestions and information to help me through this project...

Thank You
Charlieman

The Helm manual is the best book to have when you're working on your own car. ;)

There are plenty of threads here, where people have gone through their C4 from top to bottom. Take your time and read through some of the threads in the C4 Technical & Performance forums and you'll get an idea of what's involved. And keep in mind the fact that we're always here to help. :CAC
