Any one experience this? Is it better to "pump" the gas pedal /gradually depress it rather than just putting your foot down. I've tried several ways/times and it seems pumping gives you more of a boost than if i just put the foot down. There is some lag it seems if i just mash my foot down.

Anyone?

I am not exactly sure what you mean by pumping the pedal. I know that I get better throttle response when I am a little higher on RPM's. That is usually why I will keep the brake on and then let it go at about 1000 RPM's.

Hey JohnnyC

Do you mean from a standing start or on the go?. ;shrug
I have found on the go, that lifting initially, then flooring the peddle will kick the auto down quicker, hence more response.
Just my $0.02 worth

I think I know what you mean... and I agree.

It's like double clutching on a roll. I mash the pedal while, say, getting onto the interstate and it doesn't accelerate as quickly as I'd wish. So... I lift and mash the pedal again and maybe a second time and it starts to really move. If I just mash the pedal it will accelerate but not at a rate I think it should. It doesn't affect the kickdown at all, just that the motor seems to pull harder.

Anyone else???

I do know if from a dead stop I put the pedal to the metal, it will spin and shift to second. Is an AWSOME :lou feeling

Oh... you got the ASR turned off too huh? ;LOL ;LOL
