Pure stock 76 Question??

Can anyone tell me if the 1976 coupe ever came with a third rear stop light mounted on the rear center portion of the roof? I was telling a young vette owner who recently bought his first vette ( Silver 76 L82 coupe) that I didn't think the center roof mounted stop light was stock on his 76. I think that was about the time manufactures started doing that, but, I have never seen it on a 76. Anyone know for sure??

I don't believe it was stock or a option, none of the books ever mention it.

So, as stated elsewhere, a third stop lamp on a 76 wasn't stock.

I agree. No hi-mount brake light until '86 (or somewhere in there).
