They seem pretty nice so far. I got them for $50 from the local auto parts store. Very easy to install.

Anyone else use these pads?

They advertise them as coming with a lifetime warranty? What exactly does that mean? Does that mean as long as I keep my original receipt, I can go back and keep getting new brake pads?

Lifetime is interpreted differently by each company. I heard these are good pads, with great life. I wonder how your rotors will hold up with the harder pad surface.

The previous pads were about 4 years old and that's when the rotors were changed. I'm pretty easy on brakes so they last quite a while for me. The rotors were still looking good so I kept them.

I probably drive 30 something miles a week in suburbia so these brakes will probably last a long time!

I personally have had the best service with GM OEM or "Raybestos" W/Lifetime warranty. The Raybestos Warranty is good as long as you own the car and retain a copy of the reciept. I have a plastic sealable "pouch" in all my vehicles that I keep reciepts in for such purposes. I am a "Highway" driver and got over 80,000 out of the OEM on my '92. The '88 was similar W/Raybestos. I've thought about going to the ceramic pads, mostly for dust reduction. Let us know how you like them and if the wheels stay significantly cleaner.

I'm not hard on brakes either. I typically get 80 to 90,000 miles on pads on my cars.

A "LIFETIME WARRANTY" is only as good as the company that "STANDS BEHIND IT". This only means that when the pads wear out you can get another set for free, provided you have saved the origional reciept. This does not in any way mean the pads will last a longer period of time. ESPECIALLY if you are buying the CHEAP FOREIGN (mostly CHINA) imported parts, ie pads, starters, alternators, water pumps etc..whew!

I have "LOST" my job of over 25 years due to cheap Chinese made products. If We would LEAVE these items on the shelf and NOT buy it our jobs MIGHT return to the USA. More later, Tim

Unfortunately, most people are cheap and so they buy the cheaper, Chinese stuff. In fact, when I tell people I look for the Made in the USA label, I get ridiculed. :eyerole

Yes my friend we do. If everyone and I mean everyone would just leave the China crap on the shelf...maby just maby some of our factories would return. We were "Bought out" by a Tiawan based company. They immediately began closing all the US plants and now only one remains located in Indiana. That is where I am currently working. 600+ miles from home. I am too old to get another job. I am holding my breath that this factory will last another 20+ years ...not just for me but for all employeed here. Thanks for the comment. I wonder...if the GM Execs closed the Bowling Green plant and started making the Vette in China...how many people would think twice about buying one. It would put at least 2,000 American workers out of jobs.

Last set I read the fine print on also required that they be quite a bit thinner than I cared to allow them to get, and evenly worn! I guess I have another application for the disc sander!
