Man I'm Stoked...Just got my Eblems back from a freind of mine. I had asked him if he could take a stock pair of "427 Turbo Jet " BB emblems and replace the 427 with 502. He said .....Ahhh Yeah..but it will take me some time as I'm kinda busy now.

I told hime no rush... The car isn't even apart yet and nothings been done to start it except or parts.

To day he sent the emblems back finished..Man...They look Great..!!! This guy is amazing..!!! He use to work for the Franklin Mint as a Model builder.

So this means I'm doing a reverse Frame off...Emblem first.:L

Check them out...

The orignal emblem as seen on the Valve cover of my 502.

How did he do that?

You know I think that is just too cool.

I have always said its the small tiny details that impress me the most on a car.Sounds silly but I am more impressed with that type of a detail then a 671 blower standing way above a hood.

GREAT IDEA !

and looks as thought it was made by the general.I am sure your going to get countless request to get a copy made for all the other 502 convertions.

Yeah...I spooke to him about everybody wanting something like this. He said it was a real pain to make and that nobody would want to pay what he would have to charge. It's verey time consuming.

When you told me about having this done I thought it was a great idea. But, having seen the picture of the finished product, it's even better! :upthumbs It's great to have a friend who can do that level of work.

Yeah Rich.. This guy is very talented. He no longer works for the Franklin Mint. For the last several years he has been doing frame off's on antique guns. He does restoration work on some very old classic and very expensive stuff.

If you were in Bowling green for the 50th and happen to see Kerbecks #3 53 corvette that Kerbeck restored.... The rear deck script "Corvette" emblem was made by this guy for Kerbeck. From my understanding ..that was a part that was missing from the car when Kerbeck acquired it.

It was an excact replacement. You couldn't tell itfrom the real one.

Looks great Mark, but what are you going to do when you change the valve covers :D

They will look great on the sides, can't wait to see them.

Yeah..Me too...That's the last thing Ill put on when the car is done.

I finally decided to make my emblems match my actual engine size.

Unlike VNV, I don't have a Franklin Mint expert to help me create professional looking emblems. Sure wish I did. :D

Hey VNV, are you getting closer to putting those beautiful emblems on your car?

Missing emblems

Hey VNV, where can I see them. You undoubtedly know why they would be of interest me. :W

Heh Doug... That will be the last thing done. After the car is finihed ..it's going to the body shop for a beauty lift. All the scratches and dings will get repaired and painted and the body buffed out. At that point I'll have Rob at Restoration Connection Install the emblems. A new hole has to be drilled in the body for the emblems to mount.

look at he top of the page and you will see the emblem..

Just kidding, but seriously, how did he do that?
Charles

Charles, I can't wait to see the finished car! If it's anything like your previous builds everyone will be in awe....

Now back to Mark.... Are we done yet?????

Dave..
