I am currently trying to restore a '68 I bought in memory of my dad and I found that the carb that was on there is dated 1969 and I don't know where to find a '68 carb for this car. Can anyone direct me in any direction to find this? I know the parts are getting harder and harder to find but I figure someone on here has to know where to get these hard to find parts. Thanks.

Hemmings Motor News would be the first place i would check. Is there something wrong mechanically with the 69 carb or are you looking to go the NCRS totally correct route.

Quick question Eric....
What is the diff between the 68 and 69 Quadrajet?
How can I verify the date on my Q-Jet....
May be interested in swapping.....

From what I can tell the choke set up is different from a '68 to a '69(either that or I got the wrong part). I searched online for Q-jet part #'s and found quite a few sites that will tell you how to read the part number that is on one of the corners. According to this information the carb that is sitting on my intake right now is from '69. I hope this is helpful to you, if not let me know and I will see what else I can find for you.

Think mine is a 4MV, automatic choke with thermostatic coil mounted on the intake manifold...is yours like this?
Will get ID/part number and anything else off it later and update this post....

Stamp in casting is: 7028213 DY
There are some other numbers on a sticker that it's too dang cold to stand out there with a magnifying glass to read....
This may not be the original carb, will get other numbers and maybe you can figure it out....
