Why do some C5's have....I don't even know what to call it.....a "rib" coming out of the side vents, along the body, and some don't?

I've tried to research this, and it doesn't indicate a model year, and also isn't specific to a coupe, vert, or FRC. So what gives? Is it an option?

Because that some have Body Side Moldings and some don't!! Just depends on how they were ordered!!:thumb:upthumbs

Option, or you can order them and add 'em yourself from Mid-America, Zip, etc...

Mine didn't have spears but I like them so I added them later. Bought them used.

Is there some reason that this thread turned ugly?

Because this is one of the discussion topics guaranteed to polarize opinion at a Corvette enthusiast site. Here's a brief list of what I've observed here at CAC over the years:
Automatic vs. Manual Transmission
Meguiars vs. Zaino
Coupe vs. Convertible
Borla vs. Corsa
Body Side Moldings: Yes or No?
Which Synthetic Oil to Use
Millenium Yellow vs. Quicksilver
Rob's 1990 ZR-1: Does It Really Exist?

In other words... subject's its best not to re-visit.
;)

Please be respectful of other peoples' Corvettes.

An excellent suggestion! We now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion.
