Guys,

I would like to get a clarification on what vacuum line to remove to perform a top end cleaning. Is the line pointed out in the picture below the correct one?

Thanks,

John

I am not sure if that is the line to pour in the top end cleaner, but it surely is the PCV return line. This is the line used for the PCV mod that captures blowby oil in a Campbell Hausfield compressed air oil trap. It was a popular mod on some forums a while back. There are some threads about it with pictures.

IF your procedure says pour into PCV return line in the intake manifold then this is your target. A big HOWEVER is, most of the things I've read talk about tank additives like Techron or a GM/3M product in a pressurized tank attached to the fuel rail. It is a kit that's supposed to look similar to an A/C refill cannister with a proper hose fitting for the fuel rail. I'd be a very hestitant to open the PCV intake hole and pour/spray in some liquid; whether the car is running or not. My guess is this is not the port you're looking for.

I hope this helps, even if it wasn't the answer you wanted.
