Hi all!

I'm interested in hearing your procedure for washing the deck area. By that, I mean the painted surfaces under the top when it's up. I wash my C5 faithfully at least once a week, but haven't found a good way to clean under there.

How're you doing it?

We don't wash the decks on our convertibles with soap, water and sponge at the same time the entire car is...but they're cleaned, wiped down and polished just the same. Whenever the tops are down, the decks are wiped down, polished, etc. It's just a routine we have and one that works well for us!:)

I use these

They're also handy for touch-ups, like when your rear view mirror spits all over your nice clean car.

Since the deck lid is covered with the top up, I never wash it with the rest of the car. We just lift the lid every now and then and wipe it with a damp towel. It too gets polished/waxed with the rest of the car.

Same thing here. I wipe it down every time I wash the car. I Zaino it too.

I wash it with the top up but the car doesnt get dirty it just gets dusty. That said i still wash it pop the lid and wipe it down then leave the top up to dry.

Thanks all, for the suggestions. I was mainly concerned about the possibility of scratching the paint with the built up dust on the lid.
