quick question ... would it be hard to swap into my '75, the '74 454ci engine, in place of my base 350ci??

I'm not an expert ; but I have done this.
If your definition of hard is time ; yes the labor is about 10 -12 hours. That's assuming you have all the big block pullies,hoses and brackets ready; and changed the front coil springs.
