How far does the rear of the hood go compared to the area around the windshield/fender trim clip area ? Mine actually looks alittle short ...I,ve always seen everyone actually have to build up the rear of the fender were the trim clip used to be...Does anyone have a picture before/after of their after market hood and how it lined up ...
I plan on taking some pics today and will update ...Thanks
The hood is on a 1968 ...Are there different size long hoods for later years?

I agree, your's does look a bit short. My L-88 hood from J.C. Whitney fit very good in that area. My hood was a bit narrow and the side to side gap is a bit more than I would like.

GM only made L88`s from 67-69. 68-69 have wiper doors and any later model Vette without a wiper door will not be able to use a OEM hood. There are some aftermarket companies making a simulated one that will fit those without the wiper door. :)
