question - seats

does anyone now if C-4 seats (1989) could be used (frames line up, bolt distance, width etc.) in a C-3 application. I have a 79. Any thoughts on flo-fit direct replacement seats, frames everything included in cloth cost around $700.00. They appear to be high quality with good support and comfort. Thanks Jon

The C4 seats will fit with some minor mods to the frame. 69MyWay has posted on this, http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15764&highlight=c4+seat, as have several others. A search for C4 seat returned 7 or 8 hits.

you are are great! This is the first vette I have owned, so I don't mean to be a pain, but experience of others is invaluble. Finished a 69 olds 442 a few years ago, and got the itch again. The new garage helped also! One additional question (the photos were excellent) are these plates (it seemed to be four total) all used in the front, then the back gets bolted direct? Is this a after-market idem, or was the plate fabricated? Jon
