Hey guys i have a 91 and im looking to add a catback system, i dont have alot of money to spend on it though, only around 375.00. I was wondering though, woudl i get the same power and sound out of muffler eliminators?

The muffler eliminators will be alot louder then the stock exhaust or the canister type mufflers. Some are divided here about power gains, but in most applications less back pressure does result in more horsepower, but at the expense of some low torque.

You'd get a louder sound but louder doesn't mean better. Anything other than the stock mufflers will give you an increase in power because the stock mufflers only flow out of one exhaust tip. The gain from one performance exhaust system to the next performance exhaust system shouldn't be enough for you to notice. For instance: Borla system vs. Corsa system, etc... They all give gains but I don't think a butt dyno would be able to tell the difference between a couple of HP.
