first time doing oil change. LT4. drain plug turns out hard. stopped as I did not want to be stuck in a bad spot. Is there are rubber washer or something that gives it this feel? When I change oil on my old pontiac, plug spins out by hand. comments appreciated
There isnt anything that should make it difficult to unbolt.I would be a liitle skeptical too.I can turn mine out by hand after breaking it loose.Could have been crossthreaded.Have you got a tap that size?Might want to get one before you remove the plug,so you can clean up the threads.But...It could just have some crap on the threads,(loctite maybe?)Let us know what the deal was.By the way.....post some pics of your car,I wanted a black LT4 before I fell in love with my CE.Black vettes are the poop.ESPECIALLY black LT4's!Shannon
