Radiator taking a Beating, this is a Cure!

I read that some of the guys have said that junk is being kicked up under the C6 and hitting the radiator and even causing some damage. Try this cheap and easy fix. Go to Home Depo get 1/4" chicken wire. Cut 22" by 6". Jack up your C6. Take out 6 bolts, 3 on the top and 3 on the botom. The 3 at the top releas two halfs of the lower bumper. You can slide your wire in between. I cut a piece of aluminum to hold the botom. Give it a shot. See Picture:

Nice try but that's not were the trash is coming through and causing the damage. The grill now allow the trash to come straight in and hit the radiator or the AC, I haven't looked to see which is in the front but assume it's the AC.

I'm sure an aftermarket grill will come into the market very soon. This should eliminate some of it!

My guess is that a grill that stops trash will stop or restrict airflow, not sure that is a good thing. The C6 is a different design than the C5 and the C5 collected lots of light trash but not stones and/or heavy particles that can come straight in and hit the radiator.

I was going to do the same thing you did except I’m building it to cover the vertical and the horizontal air paths. It will also be the license bracket if possible, just trying to mount it so it won’t rip the bumper cover if something gets the license plate. Actually I don't want to put the front plate on but the state thinks they look good on both ends of the car but they only require you to light the back one. Wonder what the logic was for that law?
