Radio/CD player

I have the opportunity to get a new bose radio/cd/cassette player for my 95 c4. My question is whether this is a direct hookup replacement for my stock delco radio cassette or does the wiring need to be changed? Thanks in advance!

Unless you current radio is a Delco/Bose I don't think it will be a direct swap.

My stock Delco/Bose put out more power than the aftermarket head units, to the amplifiers built into each speaker, hence, my aftermarket head unit needed another stage of amplification to drive the stock, Bose speakers.

95c4, which 'new' radio can you get? Which stock radio do you have? The Delco/bose was a Corvette option, but few cars did not have it ordered.

I have the stock Delco radio with cassette player only. I can get a new Delco/Bose radio/cassette/CD player at a great price but I don't want to rewire. My question is whether this upgrade radio will just plug into the same wires from my stock radio. The part number of the new radio is the same as the one offered for my car as upgrade when built.

I've been through the whole gambit with the stereo situation. The Bose Gold is wired different. It is set up with the control head in the dash. The receiver and pre-amp unit is in the storage area behind the drivers seat, and all the speakers have their individual seperate amplifiers. Not a direct swap out. My cd unit went out about a month ago and last week one of the speaker amps went. If you should decide not to go that way let me know how good of a deal might be had on the one you have a chance at. I'm ready to pull mine out and send it for repair or go after market. Nothing sounds any better IMHO than the Bose but they sure seem to go out a lot.
