I can't remember. Are the buttons on the radio and heater lit or just indirect lighting from the little glow light on the bottom of the interior mirror? If they are lit does anyone know what fuse controls them?
If you're asking about the back lighting when the headlight switch is in Park or Head,
the incandescent power driver in combination with the headlight dimmer switch
controls the back lighting for the radio, HVAC control head and PRND shifter
indicator for a auto trans. driver info center, power window switch, door courtesy
lamp. lighted rear view mirror and some others.
Make sure the dimmer switch is at the full brightness position.
If any none of the above lights are working the incandescent power
driver is bad. It's a heat sink with a transistor mounted on it. Located
middle of the steering column bolted to a bracket on the left side
of the steering column.
If some of the back lights work verify Fuse 11, 12 and 13 are good in the
passenger side end of dash fuse panel.
Here's a picture of what it looks like.

Some people have mentioned they replaced the transistor with a 2n3055 from Radio Shack
which costs $2.99 Part # 276-2041.
Here's a picture of the location for the incandescent power driver.
