Well I was cruising and listing to some great tunes when I hit a bump and the radio died. The antenna went down and the face plate went blank. When I press the on/off knob the time will display but nothing else happens. No music, no antennae movement and the CD and tape player do not operate. I checked all the fuses and they are good. Nest step is to check the wiring behind the console and all the way back to the antenna. But before I tear apart the dash I would like to know if anybody else has had this problem and what they did to fix it. Also I will take any all suggestions.:hb

With a volt meter, you should measure 12 volts at the RDO IGN Fuse (5 amp. fuse located on passenger side end of dash). It's hot when the ignition key is in ACCY or Run.

If you don't have a meter and the Fuse appears good,
remove it and reseat it.

You should also measure 12 volts at the Fuse when the ignition switch is turned on and then off for about 15 minutes unless you open the door. (Because of the Delayed Accessory Bus Relay).

If that doesn't check out, do the Power Windows work?

If not the Delayed Acccessory Bus Relay could have jared loose. The Relay provides 12 volts for the RDO IGN Fuse which is used by the radio and 12 volts for the Power Window 30 amp Breaker.

The Delayed Accessory Bus Relay is located along the front edge of the dash on the driverside.

To get to it, you need to drop the driverside Hush panel. If you drop the panel you'll see 3 relays on the left side of the steering column.

The DAB Relay is the Second relay left of the steering column. You can swap the relay with the relay closest to the steering column which is the Starter Enable Relay.

DS door--Cruise relay--DAB relay--Starter Enable--Steering Column.

You can also reseat the connectors on the Receiver Box which is located in the RH rear storage box.
