I have an original radio for my 82vette. It doesn't work and I'd like to get it repaired. Anyone know of a repair shop for these radios?

Thanks for the help and/or information.

-quick radio check...

-yes, most old-car radio radio-techs. seem to cut-off at the early '70's(older ok) or conversely they seem to be into the '90's and later, so if no one provides you a RadioShoppe particularly knowledgeable about the hybrid '81-'82/digital-dial type am/fm/cassette radio, you can check with: S&M-ElectroTech (click here): WWW.TURNSWITCH.COM ; or very good/expensive check: WWW.CLASSICRADIO.COM . However, before sending radio off anywhere, be sure to first check the Fuse, and both outboard and inboard Antenna-connections while radio is On (so you can listen for a problematical crackling connection), -trying this on both Am & Fm!! Also, check to see if the cassette sounds ok, as that would at least show the Amplifier is still ok [although by that age, it is also quite likely a new drive-belt is needed, which you can replace yourself, -once you obtain the right length O-ring (or square-section ring)]... ~Bob vH

PS: -Dave below offers this: WWW.CORVETTERADIO.COM

My original delco for my '71 was nicely and quickly repaired by corvetteradios.com. Check out their website. They were very nice to deal with.
