title says it all. I've got a trim ring on my ralley's with 2 valve stem holes about 6-8" apart. Looks like factory.

A local club member says it was a factory mess-up and worth some money. Said to hang on to it.

Any body know anything about it? is it on purpose for some other application, or truly a mess up?

Any help would be great!

Put it on eBay with "RARE, RARE, L@@K, L@@K, L-88 427" in the description, and see what it brings! :)

;LOL

Weren't a set of those made especially for Zora? ;)

That's the spirit! I think that will be my story! Zora wanted some dual valve stemmed rings, so they made him a set ;LOL

You see, he used them for double-quick air fill-ups through the twin valve stems in each wheel. Saving time was very important to Zora. I know. I met him.

Now, if you could just find those wheels. :gap

I think it was from when Zora was testing early versions of GoodYear inner liner race tires on the 1969 L88. They have 2 valves on the wheels. If you look real close at that picture we always see of Zora driving that 1969 L88 you can see the twin valve stems. You have to squint real hard and a few beers help too. :L With only 4 of these trim rings ever made they should be worth millions on Ebay. Even more than an L88 dip stick. ;LOL

I believe those were an option available on the 83 Verts only. Have heard stories how a few have been spoted on other cars over the years as well.

My guess is they are very rare and don't be surprised if a couple of suits from GM show up at your door and ask to see them.

:cool

I've talked to a coulple guys that could be considered L88 dipsticks. I wonder what they're worth:D. -Eric:w

You guys don't know anything about trim rings. The other valve stem hole is for the inner tube on that jalopy. ;)

You might want to post this on www.ncrs.org and see what the NCRS guys come back with.

Hey, let's get that done right away, we on official corvette buisness, and are on patrol. Squad 51 KMG365 crrrrrrk! :L

Hey Guy! ;)

I'm guessing one is to put the air in and one to let it out. You know you should change the air in the tires on a regular basis, you know, like you change the oil in you engine. You can change the air much quicker with the 2 valves. I think you're going to be seeing this option on some of the higher priced vehicles soon.
