I found this from Mid America one of our supporting vendors.... CLICK

I love mine and constantly get compliments on it, I would HIGHLY suggest attempting to find a used kit

I totally concur. Forced ram air, my a**. Not below triple digits, pal. You MIGHT see slightly cooler intake air, but my honest expert says to pass, unless you want the looks.

I am by far no expert on airflow, but the stock housing is to restrictive, and many people will cut the lid, but why not get air that isn't from the engine bay, that is actually cooler?. The stock housing has three vents that it "sucks" air from correct? Or at least thats the only spots on the air filter that was dirty when it was changed. I think the Ram Air unit is worth the money for functionality, and looks. The quality is also far superios IMO since the stock housings always break off the side pins that secure it. The "Ram Air" effect might not kick in until higher MPH speeds, but as an entire unit is is better overall then the stock one.

FWIW, the original poster can edit and/or delete posts.

FWIW, I spend my cash on things that experts who HAVE been-there/done-that, say work. I looked into this unit when I built my car and passed on it. Similarly, I bought, then dumped the MSD box.

Glad U guys like the idea, but I prefer performance/buck returns far higher. :w
