Going to install the new Opti in my 1992 LT-1. While I have everything removed I am doing some serious cleaning. When I put the Opti in, should I insert the spline drive into the opti first and then position it into the case or the opposite scenario? I know the spline only fits in the case one way due to the flat spot on the coupler. What about the way it goes into the Opti? Does it have an idiot proof spot on it too? I have not removed the one that came already in place with the new one in case it has to be in a particular position. Should I keep the old Opti around and rebuild it as a spare? Any input is appreciated...Thanks!
