Ahhh, I got rear ended... Could be worse.. I have to replace the rear bumper or repaint it... Does anyone have any details on how to remove the rear bumper on a 97 C5 Auto? Any special tools required? I was thinking of buying a used stock bumper so it doesnt look painted but not sure how hard it would be to swap out.. Thanks in advance..

Hi there,
There are numerous fasteners, pieces that should be removed, and other issues.
Both wheel house liners inside the wheel wells must be removed.
Rear license plate assembly. The lenses for the lights, except the high mount stop lamp, and the bracketry on each side.
Attached is a brief exploded view, but it is just not for the faint of heart.
