Rear deck pull down handle gone !!!

I just noticed that cars arriving this week 1-9-07 do not have the handle on the inside of the rear decklid for assisting in closing. The indentation is still there, but the "handle" is gone !! Anyone else notice this ?? VIN's of the first two cars I noticed this on were 21883 and 22074.
