its getting close to being done. Here are some photos. I laid out the carpet in the back last night just to see how it would fit. Its one giant piece as opposed to the 5 pieces I took out. I imagine it makes it a bit trickier to install just cause its a bigger piece. Still thinking its not a great match for the door interior leather. I had to use the little steamer to get the last piece of carpeting out, that worked really well.

I think when it was originally built the person who put the pad under the carpeting in they cut the hole for the part that the t top straps attach to, but the person who put the carpet in just covered them over. All this time I thought they were just gone and there they were covered up. My husband however will most likely be covering them up as he already built the boxes for the speakers not knowing there was something underneath there.

If it weren't for the header flange, I would swear it was a picture of my 82 underneath.;LOL
 
I'm glad you said he was sanding because I thought it was a condom on his finger. :chuckle
