When traveling down the road at 45 to 50 miles an hour and hitting the accelerator I notice what feels like a twisting in the rear end. I've pushed down on the rear end and both shocks seem to be working. I don't really notice it when accelerating from a dead stop, only when cruising, then accelerating. Any ideas?

Eureka!

:L:L I think I figure it out. In the summer I run a lower air pressure, since the heat of the roads causes the air in the tires to expand. Temps down here are in the 30's tonight. I inflated all the tires to 32 psi and the twisting disappeared. Just have to remember to let some air out when summer rolls around.

I would also check the trailingarm bushings in the rear. When the rubber has disintegrated there is some play from left to right in the front of your rear suspension. So when you hit the accelerator when driving it feels like the rear is looking for grip (little to the left and to the right movement). I had the same problem that that was the solution.

That is just what mine felt like when I would get on it and found the right side trailing arm bushing was bad.So you should still check them.

Slightly low tire pressure would not cause this. Keep looking.
