I need a new one yesterday!!

What brand do you guy's have?
Let me know what you have and how long you've had it.

I bought this one from Eklers about eight years ago, I'm very upset seeing as I've only put about 5000K miles on it in that time.

Thanks people,

Rick

It's fiberglass, about 1 inch thick by 2 inches wide.

My local vette shop wants me to buy a TRW fiberglass spring which is thinner and wider. I think it's like the stock fiberglass spring from the (I'm guessing here) late 70's , early 80's.

Rick,

This is JMHO but for all the stories I've heard of aftermarket fiberglass springs wearing out, cracking, etc, I am sticking with steel leaf springs. I can live with a few extra unsprung pounds but I don't want to have to rip the underside of my car apart any more than I have to. I know the glass can buy you better performance depending on which you go with but it's just a question of balancing performance and reliability from my perspective.

Thanks to both of you for your opinions.

Eric,

I've already ordered another composite spring from VB&P.
If this one fails I'll reinstall my spare steel spring.
To be honest I think something happened to the spring while the car was finally lowered to a suitable height. Of course I can't prove that.

Thanks again guys,

Rick

I agree with 71shark.Steel factory spring.
