rear view mirror question?

Hey all, I'm sure someone here can answer this, I haven't ben disappointed yet, you guys are good. On my 96 Ce, there is a little round post that sticks down from the rear view mirror, and the end is threaded, can anybody tell me what is supposed to go there so i can order a replacement, Thanks

Novafink, that sounds like the aftermarket radar mount stem that one can order from Eckler's or MidAmerica. A friend had one but decided not to use it. The stem replaces the original bolt up in there so you can bolt the mount plate for the detector.

thanks, that makes sense now, i looked through ecklers at the rear view mirrors, and did not see it on theirs, i'll order a new bolt.
