I'm sure this has been beat to death before, but I'm about ready to change the fluids in my 87 4+3 tranny and I'm thinking about using Red Line oils. The 87 will be my autocross and open track day car so I thought it might help to use some upgraded fluids in the tranny. Bought it a couple months ago and it currently has a little over 63K miles on it. I'm not sure when the last maintenance was done on the tranny so I figure it should get done.

Who has used Red Line oils in their 4+3 and do you think it's worth the extra expense given the potential for highr temps the tranny may see?

I use Red Line lubes exclusively. I just put it in my ROD 6-speed and the differential, as well as motor oil for the engine. I use their Water Wetter for the radiator too. :upthumbs
