1966 white convertible
I have a 1996 white roadster that currently has 215 / 70R Michelin radials (the biggest tires I can use without cutting something). I'm wanting to get some redline tires of similar size which I think will really look sharp but I'm not finding them easily here in Dallas TX unless i'm just not smart enough to find the right place. If anyone has any suggestions, preferably locally, I'd really appreciate knowing that as well as what a reasonable price might be. THANKS!!

Diamond Radials....the best...

I have Diamond Back 215/70 redlines on my '66 convertible and am really happy with them.

maxphunn,

I have always loved the look of a hardtop on a midyear. Sweet. The redlines look great with silver too. :w

(P.S. Where in Ontario?)

Thanks 67Heaven. Cambridge. I really hoped to see in person your '67 this year. Maybe next year. Like many others, I think you have built the ultimate midyear.

Redline tires

Since you live in Dallas, consider Wallace Wade (www.wallacewade.com). They distribute Coker redline tires. I have them on my midyear. I have bought them directly from coker tire and also through Wade. Good luck.

I have Diamondback 215-65R15s redlines on my 57. Nearly 20k miles later and not one problem!

THANKS+ a question

I appreciate the advice. I have talked with Wallace Wade here in Dallas. They have a set of Red Lines --- P215 R70 15 ---S-Rated (110mph) BF Goodrich Silvertown. Anyone know anything good or bad about these tires??? thanks

I had a set of Coker wide-white radials on my '57 six years ago, and they were fine; had another newer set of Coker redline radials on my '67, and they were terrible - took LOTS of weight to balance them, but it didn't matter, as they weren't round. Replaced them earlier this year with a set of Diamondback Firestone "Supreme Si" redline 205/75-15 radials, and they're terrific - easy to balance, they're round, and they put about an inch more tread on the ground than the same-size Cokers - don't have that "skinny" look. No more Cokers for me.

I also have had the same " out of round tire " happen to me with some Coker's I picked up at the Corvette show last August. When the time came to mount and balance them, it really freeked out the guy at the tire shop to see how bad they wobbled on the machine.

However being out of the country, the cost to replace them is exorbitant, so my friend has decided to live with them. However " no more "
