I am looking for a removable hardtop for my 02 convertable. That way I can go faster than 14 second 1/4 mile. I went to the drag strip in Sacramento Ca. Wednesday with my cousin. When I went through tech they told me I couldn't go faster than 14 seconds (but motorcycles can do 9.5 @ 153. Go figure?) unless I had rollbars or a hard top. I was able to sneek in one run at 13.737 @ 102.88. When I got to the time shack they told me to slow it down. I know thats not a great time or speed but it was 106 degrees at the time I did it. Most of the cars were running slow than normal. I still had a lot of fun but it was hard to keep it at 14 seconds. So if any one knows where I could get a new or used hardtop please let me know.

Thanks

P.S. I tried getting Caravaggio web site but it keep coming up site not found.

Hey Okieracing,

Try these guys.

I've read about them, but have no experience with them.

Best of luck,

That is a very respectable time for your car. Not going under 14 in a convertible is an NHRA rule. Some strips adhere to those rules (my local strip also does), and some do not.

Thanks guys for the information. I will check into these sites.

Thanks

I have seen other guys post that you can retro fit a Z06 top if you can find one off a wreck.
