Hello, I want to repair the interior covering on the passengers side window post. I believe this is called the pillar post, not 100% sure on that.
Can anyone tell me how to get this piece off? I don't see any screws in it like all the other interior pieces, is it pressed in or glued to something? Mine has a tear at the top, the T-Top hits it, I believe it is to high. I want to remove it repair the tear and re-dye it. Any help with how to remove theses, I will do both at the same time so they will match, will be appreciated. Thanks

On a 77, all those window pieces are held together by screws. I think you have to remove the top ones to get the bottom ones out.

I think my pillar posts had one screw in the middle of each.

Pillar Post

Hi,
On my 75 you must remove the header piece at the top of the windshield, the sun visors and the screws holding the pillar post at the top. Then it should come free. There are plastic pieces like Velcro that hold them to the windshield post, if you pull them awau from the car at the top first, they should break free. They are set down into the dash a little so you may have to push slightly to get them seated when you re-install them.

bill is right on , removing these pieces could be a nightmare though.i think i'd wrap the car in paper, this may end up easier than removing the parts
