While trying to remove the air condition compressor, as suggested by a few forum members, to access my driver side wires, I rounded of one of the long narrow bolt heads just underneath the compressor.:mad I don't know if that particular bolt is like "frozen" on or what. Anyone suggestions as to its removal would be greatly appreciated. Incidentally, I first tried accessing from underneath—couldn't get a good enough grip on the boot. I don't know how some of you do it this way. I am still wondering if after the compressor is removed if I will be able to access the wires. HELP!:W
THANKS

BOLT OUT CRAFTSMAN TOOL SET

I agree with the above two posts! This tool set has saved me while restoring old cars with rusted bolts more than once. This is one tool that works as advertised! :)

I agree, the nut /bolt remover is a must have tool! As for your rounded off bolt; if I'm not mistaken, those bolts are no longer made. While you're waitng for the bolt remover, you might want to call a few Vette bone yards and see if you can get a few of those bolts. Also, remember the bracket that holds the A/C (and everyting else on the front of the engine) is aluminum. It's soft, the bolts are steel. You might try some Liquid Wrench at the point where the A/C compressor butts up to the bracket (that's where the threads start) it's real easy to strip the threads in the bracket.
