"It's Five O Clock Somewhere," Jimmy's new duet with Alan Jackson, will appear on Alan Jackson's new Greatest Hits album later this summer, and was released to radio this week as a single. It will almost certainly hit the Country charts next week (it was the #1 most requested song on my local country station as of tonight) and cross over to the overall Hot 100 chart (Radio and Records magazine web site forum suggests it's likely to be Jimmy's first #1 song, as it's likely to top the country charts). I heard the song tonight and almost went in to shock hearing Jimmy's voice on a mainstream radio station on a new song. Alan sings about the first 3/4 of the song, then asks the musical question "I wonder what Jimmy Buffett would think of all this? hey, here he is!" (or words something to that effect), and then Jimmy sings the last verse (pretty much recapitulating the same lyrics that Jackson sang), and then Jimmy does the "spoken word" outro about having seen Alan drinking in his Margaritaville Cafes (or words something to that effect). It's a drinking song. I've found no word about whether there will be a video.
Pasted below is some info from Alan Jackson's web site, where one can apparently hear an audio clip of the song.
