Actually, I did it last week but it wouldn't start. Turns out that I needed a shim. I didn't think I needed a shim because I didn't see one when I took the old starter off.
I put the new starter in on Friday and it wouldn't start; it sounded terrible so it was determined that I would need a shim. So I woke up this morning; went out to get that little $2 piece of metal and had put her in. Took less than 5 minutes and about 25 ft./pounds of torque.
Who ever thought that a little $2.00 piece of metal would keep a car from starting?:L:L:L
