This morning I replaced my TPS because I was getting code 21. Upon completion, SES now pulls code 22. What do I do next? the car runs fine...idles at normal rpm. What should I do?

i don't have my book with me, what 22? what i alway do is clear the code and drive it some and see if it comes back. not sure thats right, but some time there false readings.

I am pulling code 22 that now say TPS voltage low. How do I fix that? I drove it for a bit and the SES light still stays on. Disconnected the battery to clear code also but code returned.

sounds like its not set right then, got a volt meter, TPS needs to read .054volts. but theres a small series of things you need to do to set it right, i am at work and don't have my serivce manual. do a search here for TPS and you'll find ALOT on doing it. its easy just need the steps.

I have a service manual here at the house. Just make a list of what I need to do ( Barney style, I am not much of a electrical whiz but my wife is) and see what happens.

do search here and print the way to do it right out and bring it to the car with you. once you got it you use the pointer ends of the volt meter leeds and push them on the back side of the connector then turn the key in on postion and rotate the TPS till you get the .054 volt reading on the meter. but check for sure so not to wreck or short out anything. i got my copy at home. i also have a electronic tool you plug in between the TPS and connector and it gives you red light for high setting, green light is good setting, another red light for low setting. then you loosen the screws on the side of TPS and adjust to green. or .054 volts
let me know if you would want it, i am not using it and was thinking of selling it.

Okey Dokey....thanks for the advice. That is what I love about this site. I will let you know how things turn out. Thanks again..

Just for thoughts, what is the device that you have?
