I want to replace my Borla resonater with an X pipe. Anyone done this before. Will the universal from Magno Flow work? Have not found one yet that was specifically for LT1.

After my initial posting, I had a Magno Flow X pipe installed in place of my Borla resonator, which had been damaged from dragging on traffic hump. Shop had little problem installing the "universal" x pipe. Much louder sound coming from rear of car (previously with Borla there was resonance when at highway speed in 6th gear). Now it is just loud noise coming from the rear pipes when get into 5th or 6th early. Will probably be looking at replacement mufflers to take care of louder noise. Have had the Borla's for about 15 years. Any suggestions on mufflers?

I have magnaflow exhaust and love how it sounds. I use to run slp but it just has to
much resonance inside for me. The magna's sound good out the back and at wide
open throttle but nice cruising around town unlike the borla and slp loudmouths.

Thanks. I was moving in the dirrection of Magna Flow.
