replacing interior panels

I have one panel that I need to replace on my '72 -- the driver's side door. Easy enough, but what I'm worried about is colour mismatch. AFAIK, my interior is original (i.e. 30 years old)... do interior parts fade or change colour over the years? I don't want to buy a new door panel only to find out that it is several shades darker, etc!

I have been replacing mine and dying others. I noticed even among the new dyes there are subtle lot differences.

Take a look at your daily driver. You will most likely not see a perfect match there either.

The long answer to your short question, there might be some subtle color differences.

Subtle is fine... It's not-so-subtle I worry about!
